I am going to do Fontana Davenport Section and Mt Cammerer and Mt LeConte March 9-18. My dad is driving me up on the 8th and we are taking an extra day for my birthday. What kinda cool stuff is there to do besides the dam. Also, need hotel and restaurant.

Not much to the Village that time of year. There are the obvious trappings of Gatlinburg once you get to NewFound Gap if you're into that sort of thing. I would certainly make sure you get your shelter reservations and back country permit ASAP. Have fun!

Fontana Village has both a hotel and restaurant, usually buffet. Call 800-849-2258 for info.

You might want to check into the Hike Inn (http://www.thehikeinn.netfirms.com/) for overnight accommodations. The rooms have a small fridge and kitchenette with a microwave so you can cook a bit as there really aren't any dining options in Fontana Villiage from about Nov 1 to April 1 (unless things have changed in the past few years). These are the accommodations in the village itself (http://www.fontanavillage.com/accommodations/accommodations.htm). Another nearby option for accommodations is Tapoco Lodge. (http://www.tapocolodge.com/index.html) It has the only true restaurant open year-round in the area. There is deli-type food available at the motorcycle gas station / store / motel / campground located at the intersection of TN / NC 129 & NC 28.

As for things to do, Fontana Village is mostly closed down that time of year. The Hike Inn owner has an awesome collection of Prehistoric relics on display. The dinos spent nearly three hours observing those and reliving the fond memories they invoked :D. Robbinsville ( map (http://www.tailofthedragon.com/maps/accom_gap.jpg) with accommodations) is the closest city that will be fully open that time of year. It is also on one end of the Cherohala Parkway (http://www.tailofthedragon.com/cherohala.html) - a wonderful drive.
