As well as the shelters?

Why would you ask such questions ? I have met alot of hikers that have problems finding their way even with the blazes and maps, and I always find the shelters being used so I would say NO to both.

sounds like a conspiracy by the MAPmakers. :-?

when maps are outlawed, only outlaws will have maps.

Obviously the question is posed by someone who has done very little hiking. It would be like taking down all route number signs on highways.

I still loiok for the White Blazes! Even driving down the rd I'll see something on a telephone pole and want to turn off and follow it!

Also stop clearing blow downs. Pretty much stop trail maint altogether, except for life threating problems.

A 2 person shelter every mile and a dog house every half mile would reduce the number of blazes necessary.

You and I both Nean! :)

So are you and your lady friend coming to the Ruck? We'd love to have ya both!

I made a post about it a couple of weeks ago (and will probably make another post soon), but if you want more details, let me know! It is the last week of Feb in Leadville.

Why not just put up railings all along the way and put in Hover Rounds for when you get tired. Those women on the commercials got to the top of the Grand CAnyon on their Hover round.:D

Minnesota might end up in Colorado!

I spent a number of months in CO in 2005, and the place held up okay.

(May be back there again some time the next year or two, as well.)

whitearrow.net :sun See the blazes will go away but they will be replaced with white arrows. The direction of the arrowhead will aid hikers who until now had to "think and figure out" the direction. :D Ingenious! :banana

Well, we could bury a wire all along the trail and then equip some "selected" hikers with shock collars so when they went astray.....:D

Do Lobsters have necks? :-?

Don't forget the trailbeds. No fun having people know where to step.
