View Full Version : Trail Days with a twist?
Are there any other blue blazing section hikers out there planning unusual ways to get to Damascus for Trail Days? I’ve thought of parking at Mount Rogers and hiking into Damascus or riding into town with all my gear on the bike from one of the Creeper Trails ends.
How about parachuting in like Jumpstart did on Springer when he thru hiked ? lol

Always seemed like a crazy thing to do to me too! :sun
Last year I hiked in from Kincora. Not sure about this year... all depends upon hubbies health issues.

Well if it's an Air Force aircraft it is just 50,000 nuts and bolts flying in formation LOL. Justifies jumping out!
Marines are taught that only two things fall from the sky rain and bird droppings. Experience has taught me that particular piece of information is better kept to yourself when in a bar full of the 82nd Airborne!
