I was thinking about buying one of these to tinker around with and compare against to the alcohol stove I currently use. Is Jetboil going to come out with a new model this year? This would be great to know so to hold off buying a PCS right now.

a lot more debate.
Plenty to think about in this thread.

What about the New MSR stove (Reactor I believe)
What about the New MSR stove (Reactor I believe)
There was a thread about that a few days ago. It's heavier, less efficient and more expensive than the Jetboil PCS. It has a pot that's a bit bigger than the Jetboil GCS. It has a very wind-resistant design and a "flameless" burner unit.

I added one caveat to your statement, assuming you are referencing the Rock and Ice article.
