I am thinking about making gaiters instead of buying the ones with straps under the shoe. Has anyone made them? Did you change the design?

Not a bad Idea... but for 25$ cost benafit principle says for the hours you would spend making them and the cost of the material and the time spent picking the material:::: It's simply better to just buy them...
Even easier: I managed to survive my thuhike without gaiters.
