ive read that after she gained celebrity with her hiking exploits that grandma gatewood was on several news and interview shows. does anyone know of any of those existing for viewing on the web?

I doubt you will find any audio interviews with her and would probably have to hit newspaper archives to find a printed interview.

one of the a.t. books lists some of her many tv appearances. i recall the groucho marx game show being one of them. surely there is something left.

My mother grew up just below Unicoi gap, Grandma Gatewood stayed a day and night with them while on her first thru hike. Then sent them a book of poems she had written while on the trail. One of my uncle's has the book now, it has some nice things about my mothers family. I will try to find it and maybe post some pics of it.
