Try it without the last slash

It might be a little slow -- the bandwidth isn't all that great.

I was all set to do a webcast but couldn't pick up a wireless signal in the cabins or either of the halls. On the last day I found there is one in the parking area above Relia's Garden. Maybe next year we'll do one from Lone Wolf's truck.

"Hi, this Sly and we're broadcasting live from the Southern Ruck. What's your name and what do you think of the festivities?"

"EZ"

"Right, I've heard of you, you're from Brooklyn?"

Why did you schedule the Ruck on the most important weekend for NFL playoffs?"

"It's tradition."

"Forgetaboutit"

"They have satellite TV at the Nantahala Inn"

"Now you tell me!"

"Hi, this Sly and we're broadcasting live from the Southern Ruck. What's your name and what do you think of the festivities?"

"I'm Lone Wolf, get off my damn truck!"

"Oops!"

Great idea ...but be sure and build in a few minute delay in transmission to allow for editing of the audio feed, just in case !!

LOL... I never thought of that, it would be easier just to give it an R rating.

Yeah I know, Fontana Village. It's been considered in the past and is a great venue but, even if they didn't charge a few hundred extra dollars for use of the conference rooms, it doesn't have facilities for community cooking/meals that I'm aware of.

Next year will probably be my last in organizing the event and y'all can make all the changes you'd like. I'll just be a participant.

In the meantime, I need to stop reading the internet in the days after the Ruck.....

If I'm not mistaken the Great Eastern Trail isn't linked yet as a completed trail but more of a route. Work still needs to be done linking existing trails that make up the GET.

Of course one must not confuse the GETwith the G.E.T aka the Grand Enchanment Trail (http://www.simblissity.net/grand_enchantment.shtml), the one I'll be hiking! ;)

What's the EDT? :-?

To whomever plans the 08 Ruck let me know. Fontana will try its best to match previous years. We also have an option for a kitchen.
