That green laser sounds fun--what do you use it for? What kind of pot is that , weighing in at 2 oz. or 0.125 lbs.? With all that tech gear mixed in with a generally UL gear set, we might have to change your trail name to Techy Techerson. :)

Oh, that backpack seems heavy too--considering the items you carry.

Agreed, the backpack sounds heavy.

I'm not even sure what some of the "tech" items are--but I'll bet you'll be getting rid of most of them somewhere in Georgia, especially the GPS.

Given a choice between two pairs of socks and three pairs of boxers OR three pairs of socks and two pairs of boxers, go with the latter. Your socks will get smelly and crunchy.

Don't forget earplugs.

What about the undies--crunchy or not? :D

The best way to reduce weight is on the BIG 4, Pack, shelter and sleeping bag. If you do this correctly the rest doesnt matter much.

Suggestions:

Change Pack: Example ULA Catalyst 43 Oz, 4600 CI ( I own the older P-2 and love it )

Drop the Nalagene bottle and get a Gaterade Bottle (32 Oz size )

Drop the Msr bottle and get a Plastic Oval Bottle 8 oz or use a Coke Bottle ( 16 Oz size ) Both of these weigh under an oz and hold alcohol well. Besides if its the aluminium MSR one, you arent supposed to use it with alcohol, it will corrode.

No need for the 2 Platys, drop the 2 L one and just bring the 4 liter, I use a 3 liter and thats all I have ever needed ( with an inline filter also ) Get an extra cap to use the platy in camp and leave the tubes on your pack.

If you get the ULA Catalyst Pack, you get 2 Hip Belt Pockets :) ( sorry I couldnt resist )

Change the fleece to a Montbell Thermawarp at 8 oz, warmer, lighter and will work if you get it wet. They will have these at Neels Gap, if you want to wait and see them there, thats where I got mine.

According to my calculations, this will reduce your total pack weight about 35 Oz or 2 Lbs and 3 Oz.

Otherwise not bad at all, it all looks pretty good except for the pack, it seems out of line compared to the rest of your stuff.

Have fun and Cya on the trail
