The schedule for Trail Days 2007 can be found at http://www.traildays.info/

We will open the campground Monday May 14th for up to 20 volunteer workers who want to help us get set up. This includes clearing for a new "quiet area," putting up a billboard for messages, maps, etc., helping at the Rock School (some climbing required), and a number of other activities.

The campground will be open for walk-ins at noon Wednesday 16th, and for drive-ins the next day.

The hiker parade this year will take place before the talent show, based on many suggestions from this forum. Other suggestions have also been adapted such as the quiet area, better parking, and hopefully additional showers if can get some volunteers to help build them.

Trail Days is an all-volunteer operation, with no paid staff other than regular town employees who usually put in non-paid overtime to make this event successful. If you have time to volunteer, we will welcome you.

Thanks for the info and all your hard work! Damascus is a wonderful town - great people! There's no doubt as to why Trail Days is successful.

Fannypack, some of the locations haven't been set yet, as we juggle the limited space we have. Check the schedule again in a few days and we should have Red Wolf's presentation location listed.

Does that mean if we can't drive up until Friday we're out of luck as far as camping?:(

No, there's plenty of room at the campsite, and double the parking space. You can take your choice this year of a quiet area (further up the creek) or the Billville/Mala/other area.

Just a reminder that there is the Tin Dawg and Dawg Burger cookout Friday night at Tin Man's tent in the vendor area. Free burgers and dawgs until we run out. This year, we are asking everyone to bring a bag of chips if they can. We will provide the rest.
