What i meant is if you thru hiked what employment did you do before you hiked. (example i thru hiked and i was a truck driver). I would just like to see how many people deal or dealt with nature on a daily basis everyday for work? And if it helped them in anyway?

I was a garbage man before my first hike then a snowmaker for ten years after that.

I am thinking school teacher is starting to sound pretty good. Only 10 weeks in the summer off. Not enough for a thru, but enough to have some fun and keep money coming in.

I'm an arborist and forester. I've spent the majority of my professional career in the woods. Will it help me on my thru attempt? Most likely.

What will I be doing post-hike? ????????

Nurse. I deal with a lot of "nature". Most of it smells really bad. That should help with the hike a lot when my hiking partner and I haven't showered in a week. Same smell, different day.
