Tofu is food? I thought it was something kids played with in kindergarten.

I've dehydrated tofu, marinated in soy sauce and sliced thin. Works that way.

Why not just get some TVP? You can mix in your other food for it's protein value and no one will ever know you're a democrat! :D

I'm only kidding. It's really non partisan.

Tofu (yes, available here in NJ) in it's native form is not only wet, but very heavy. Dehydration sounds like the trick, but never tried.
As matter of fact I don't dehydrate anything myself.

I have dehydrated Tofu in stirfry, soup etc. I seems to work OK. The rehydration time is a bit longer than veggies, but the protien kick is worth the extra minuit wait

Packets of dehydrated miso soup often have dried tofu inside. There must be a commercial source.

Tofu reduces testosterone levels ( as do all soy based products) women in japan give it to cheating husbands to curtail their 'activities'. Use in moderation guys.

Minnesotasmith posted a rather extensive couple of posts on this subject. From my experience living in Japan, eating tofu and soy based products, there is nothing wrong with their testosterone levels, nor mine.

As for women giving it to cheating husbands...there was a tv show that interviewed men/women and asked what shortcoming their spouses had. One man complained that when he came home late and drunk his wife would put fermented beans (natto) on his genitals while he was passed out. They followed him out one night while he drank, came home late and passed out. They cut to the next morning where he goes into the bathroom, looks down as he urinates and says: "Ah, *****, not again!" Was pretty funny. Gotta love Japanese tv.

I am SURE you should tell this to my man, who is 6' 4" and eats soy products daily. I defintely have never seen a loss of "manliness" in him

Soy products are not going to give you man boobs, nor will they cause your manly bits to shrivel away. Lol...talk about urban legend warning
