Have y'all seen the article in the new April issue of Backpacker titled "The Long Trail to Jail?" The article begins on pg. 68; Miss Janet saves the day beginning on page 113. Congratulations on your appearance in print, Ms. J!! And thanks for what you did.

Can anyone summarize the story?

I'm guessing this is the same story as the one in the "Saved" thread. Lescoe, et. al.

Ms. Janet posted about David Letcoe (aka 'Saved' and 'Injun') on WB (http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?t=6067) and that help connect Letcoe to a guy that knew him and was able to get an address for the police to arrest him. Letcoe was a one-man crime wave. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/15/AR2005111501167.html)

Sorry, I've been busy, so haven't been reading WB. Here's a link to a newspaper article that has much of what's in the Backpacker article, though by a different writer -- http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/11/15/AR2005111501167_pf.html

It was a boring POS with pages of filler. I was just waiting for the best part when they qouted Miss Janet and Trail Angel Mary.

Saved won't come to a good end he will try to con the wrong type of person and meet his end. It is a shame when a human being turns out like saved, it is a further shame that his actions incite hatred in others. It was saddening to read all the mean remarks about him written by hopefully normally caring people. We all have a choice of not becoming like him and not to let him effect us in a demeaning manner.
