A couple of years back I was doing some geocaching and bumped into a thruhiker at the Moxie Crossing here in Maine. It was June 20th to be exact and in my short conversation with him he had said he was in day 12 of his SOBO hike. He was quite interested in my hobby of geocaching and I in turn was quite interested in his attempt at hiking the AT. He was solo at the time and had just crossed the stream which was quite high and he had just finished dressing and drying off. I got a photo of him and that was about it and he was on his way again. I didn't think to get his name or anything so I was wondering if anyone in here would know who this guy was or if he indeed make the whole hike? I have posted a photo of him in hopes of someone maybe knowing his name or anything? Thanks Haffy

I recommend you tell us exactly which year you are talking about.

I was really hoping someone could help me identify this hiker, I'm sure someone must have met him going SOBO as most of you were headed NOBO during the summer of 2005.

I met most of the 05 sobos but don't remember this guy. Sorry haffy. Miss Janet has a great memory for hikers. Odds are against anyone thru hiking of course.
