The regular sizes are for people up to 5'10'. Im 5'10-5'11. I have a chance to get a long which is for people up to 6'4 for a good price. Would getting the long version be worth it over getting the regular for my height?

I'd probably go with the long version for sure.

that extra length shouldn't make that much of a difference

check the bag, the one I have has a draw cord in the last (bottom) foot section, you can close it off if its too long, so you dont have to "heat" the area!

Go with the long. It's made in Japan where hikers are shorter.

This will be my first product by montbell. I never heard of them before as no stores around carry their stuff. But they seem to be good.

Mont Bell is great stuff. They were marketing ultralight set ups before anyone else...over 10 years ago. It was part of the company founder's Alpine climbing strategy. Isamu Tatsuno was the second Japanese to climb the North Face of the Eiger. His method was almost exclusively Alpine rather than expedition style. Fast and light was what it was all about. Big ocean kayaker as well.

The company philosophy is based on the concept of "kinobi"..."Function is Beauty." My Mont Bell "Tempest" parka is over 12 years old and still going strong.

I always use that space to dry stuff!
Glad it worked out for you :)

Good idea, I can use that space for something. Do you use a liner with it or anything? Thought about getting a silk liner.

A liner would help keep the bag clean but unless you had your arms hanging out (of the liner) it would most likely be restrictive compared to the girth of the bag itself
