I bought a pair of 810's the other week and absolutely love them! I've been using the NB 800 series since '00 and these are my favorite so far.
Just thought I'd share.

Wearing the NB 473 right now. Love them too. I just buy whatever trail runners the store has for sale in my size.

I have never liked the fit of New Balance shoes - mostly where they hit me on the back of the foot. Most people really like them, but not for me personally.

Exactly! I thought it was just me, but every pair I've ever had has rubbed my achilles tendon!

Me too ...recently bought several pair of the 809's and so far really like them. Didn't look at the 810's ?? What are the differences ? Better/more rugged outsole, lighter weight uppers ??

I saw the 810's but didn;t feel like paying the $84.99. I still habve a few pairs of 806s and 807s lying around, half worn, that I bought on closeout.
I agree though, I converted with 803s and never looked back.

Watch Sierra Trading Post (on-line). With the close-out sale price and the discount coupon they offered I ended up paying $45 - 46 dollars for the 809's about a month ago and got free delivery !!
