Does anyone out there know of a good, simple spreadsheet that you can use to record all your gear and its weight and then go through and check off what you are taking on a trip and have the spreadsheet calculate your weight and give you a list of the gear you are taking? I am trying to create one because I can not find one, but I am not that good with excel. I can not figure out how to list something with the option of a selector next to it. So, again I figure it would be easier if someone else has a good one. Thanks for your help.

Also, check out SGT Rock's creation: http://www.whiteblaze.net/forum/showthread.php?p=132311#post132311 . Scroll down until you find the 'example spreadsheet for hiking' and go from there...

Here's the program (http://www.backpacking.net/featured3.html) I use. Its not a spreadsheet, but you can select which gear you want, has separate categories, and it gives the individual weight of each category in addition to the overall weight. I like it quite a bit. I tried a couple of the one's from the BPL contest, but like the simplicity of this one.
