Anyone know the current condition of usfs 71 at Deep Gap, I am driving from Myrtle Beach, SC to meet my husband. Plan to meet at deep gap on 71. Anyone know anything. I managed to find directions to it, just don't know about parking or road conditions. Any help would be great..

Just there yesterday. Don't need a four wheel drive. I left my truck parked fully loaded (I Know, tempting fate)for 2 days and it was fine.

Head west on 64, go past Standing Indian. At the county line the road goes off to the left. There is a sign for Deep Gap. It's quite a way back and it's a narrow one-way road, so no speeding!
