I'm heading out about the first of june.. do I need to take a down jacket or vest? how about thicker pants.. or will polyester style pant and short do?

If you are in TX now, you will need warm stuff. It can and will drop below 30* in June. Hat. Cannot emphasize enough. Even in August.
