I recently came off the trail due to foot issues and got to see a Dr.

Added something to my orthotic and suggested that I get a boot with a stiffer sole.

So, I am looking for some suggestions of any outfitters in the Northeast that have a reputation for good bootfitting.

Thanks

Anyone know the turnaround time on these? I know they have off the shelf, but have coveted custom. Bet they are spensive.

I only can speak for myself. I have worn out 3 pairs of LL Bean Crestas over the last 15 years. No break in required, The entire AT without a blister, good fit, actually waterproof. Others have their favotites and Crestas are not for an ultralite but they worked and still work for me. They also come with a no questions asked money back gaurentee. Go to the store and get fitted for your first pair if you decide to try them. About $160 a pair.
