What kind of fine eating can I expect to find in Glencliff. Mick D? Pizza Hut? The Outback? An AYCE?

absolutely nothing. Glencliff consists of a post office and a hiker hostel. There are no restraunts nearby. The closest is in the town of waren about 4-5 miles away. Packrat, who owns the place is an exceptional guy, one of the best up the trail. He'll often shuttle to warren or maybe even north woodstock as he did for us. NW is a long way, we happened to get lucky since he was heading there for half priced appetizers and pints!

Unless Hiker's Welcome has something, you can't even buy a soft drink in this location.

Like others have posted, a post office and Hiker's Welcome Hostle. That's it. No more.

Hikers Welcome has showers, limited food (mainly liptons, tortillas, ect), shuttle service for a reasonable charge, and other services. John McCue also runs MoonbowGear out of his house, which is the other part ofthe hostel

I agree I loved stopping there. The hostel owner was friendly and helpful and I felt it represnted everything that is good about the trail!
