I am doing a presentation on lightweight backpacking at a local outfitter. One of my points is that LWBPing is not new (think Grandma Gatewood, the light pack lists inthe Roledale set, etc.)
I also like to keep things lighthearted. Everyone who walks tries to lighten the load..some of us just do it differently. :) Thought may gave a few people a chuckle.
(WW2 history is an interest of mine. Bill Mauldin was also in the same division as my grandfather.)
