Hey guys, I'm ordering the aether 70 today for my 08 through hike. Any last minute comments to try to change my mind???

I think the Osprey aethers are a great pack. I was thinking of getting the Ariel 55 from my partner, she is rather short. Ive been tossing up between the aerial or the aura, but i think i might go for the ariel as it is nice and long and keeps the weight closer to the body, and it gives the option of carrying some more equipment if needed.

Go for it. It's my favorite general-use pack.

While not as "sturdy" as the aether - did you try out the golite jam pack? 21 oz total, will hold around 30 pounds if it has to, side pockets for bottles (or munchies :D)
The waist/hip belt is a lot lighter than most traditional packs - but if you are going light - and I'm shooting for no more than 25lbs, that's not a problem.
Otherwise it's a nice pack :banana
Steep and cheap has a similar Lowe Alpine pack for $80 today.
I own one and love it....go for it
