im hiking the sect of the trail from the bear mtn bridge in n.y. to williamstown mass.near rt 2 , need a hiking partner, my hiking buddy will join us in conn can only go out for 10 days leaving last week in septto first week in oct. been hiking for 8 years now ----hike lite:sun

Um......I have to ask. Why exactly do you need a hiking partner?
You'll catch up with your friend in Connecticut.
Hike by yourself. It clears the mind. If you can hike lite you can hike alone.

My guess is she has her reason(s) for wanting a partner. Not everyone is comfortable hiking solo.
