Hello,
I would like to take a 5-7 day hike on the AT anytime from May-Sept. I would try to do 10-12 miles a day. I am not in great hiking condition so I will be sucking alot of wind but I am very steady in my pace. I would like to leave from the Bear Mtn bridge or Rte 22 in NY. If you think you'd like to join me, please respond.

we are doing the AT from bear mtn bridge to mass. the last week in sept we will be out for 17 days .my hiking buddy will be joining me in conn. he can only do it for 10 days so i will on my by my self witch is fine so if you like to join us thats fine ,we are both ex. hikers and i will be doing 13 a day

Thanks for the reply Wolf, I am leaving for Vaction Sept 29 so that time of the year won't work out for me. Have a good hike
I still have NJ to complete but would like to do NY/CT sometime in Jul/Aug/Sep

Hi Walessp,
Keep in touch. Anytiine in August/very early September is good. July is OK depending on the day of the week. I have school Thursday evening till Aug 2 so leaving Friday would be my preferered dates in July.
OK will let you know what works for me.
I will be doing several 3-4 day hikes through NY, CT and MA. I am going from Hoyt Rd at the NY/CT border to Falls Village, CT. I am starting on Sunday (June 10th) and ending at my vehicle on Tuesday. Sunday will only be a half day b/c I have to work in the morning. My plan is 8 miles on Sunday, 14 on Mon, and 15 on Tuesday. It will be my first hike!

When you get back from your hike, if you can, post a short report. I'll be doing the exact same section two weeks later and it would be great to get some information on the conditions etc.... Enjoy your hike.

I am planning to do the section between High Point State Park and Kent CT between August 25 and Sept 5, tenatively with a friend joining me on Aug 31 at Bear Mtn Inn. If any of you are interested in sharing a shuttle for part or all of that let me know, as I may have to find a shuttler if my friend cant come along. (I will be driving up from NC and could do a shuttle after finishing in trade for getting one from you at the start of mine, if that would help any of you)

I'm planning on the section from NY Rt. 22 (MetroNorth Station) through to the Delaware Water Gap in New Jersey starting next Saturday, June 29th. Plan is to begin with about 7 miles per day and work up to 13-14 the final three days. Overall will take about two weeks with no rain. E-mail
