During Trail Days we will have several designated parking areas, and there should be plenty of room.

This link is to a photo of someone who decided to explore the new quiet area by jeep.

This happened last night (Tuesday). They're still there.

That parking place looks like its already taken. Is that the mentally handicapped place? (Sorry, I'll go back to my corner now.)

OK, this photo is definitely begging for a caption contest. I'll start.

"Dude, the sign for knucklehead parking pointed right here!"

or how about a nod to that stupid bumper sticker you see on these:

"It's a Jeep thing . . . you wouldn't understand."

or this:

"First thing we better do is ditch the weed."

That can't be Neo's jeep - there isn't a hammock hanging from the bars and Hillary isn't in the front seat.

Jeff Patrick and I went out there last night and tried unsuccessfully to pulling them out as you can see in the link. But they did get free via Fritz's wrecker service because I just spied them driving through town.....

These here boys were from Georgia. They had thru hiked last year but didn't go to TD's so they came back this year with a pocket full of money to spend for a good time and as you can see they had muddy lot of it.............

Have ya tried AAA? Let AAA know that they just can't figure out why the jeep won't start, and they need a tow.

A jeep without a winch is just an American-made Subaru. And almost as useful.

This happened last night (Tuesday). They're still there. This is like my cousin Homer. He's always getting stuck in his Jeep. We've showed him several times how to put in in 4 wheel drive.

Ya'll are looking at this from entirely the wrong perspective.

It's not stuck. It is a redneck anti-theft mechanism. I bet when they walked away from this jeep they knew it would still be there when they came back. A week of dry weather and they could drive it right back out. Who needs a fancy security system?

Naw - he was just digging hammock trenches for windblocks...it's gonna be cool at night. Much quicker than that orange trowel.

Did they jump that thing into the mud? I don't see any tread marks leading into the mud. I bet they stopped and tried to back out, instead of just keeping it going forward until they hit something that wasn't so mushy.

I also bet their pockets full of money to spend are not so full anymore. That is tow truck dirver's dream. What to charge, what to charge!

OK, I thought this one would be a shoo-in for best caption until I kept reading and laughing. This whole page has been hilarious. And the 'Lone Wolf in charge of parking' one almost made me choke on my drink.
Most excellent so far,

How about - "If two hikers spontaneously combust in the woods, does anyone get the jeep?"

"Hello, OnStar?" is good, but I like "I claim this land for the Empire of Dum-as" better. Has that brash, adventuresome swash buckling thing going on that we backpackers try to keep about us.

Now that I think about it, "swash buckling" does sound kinda gay, don't it? And another thing, how does one swash a buckle? :-?

Nice work, after 2 strong days it's dead in the water.:D Or shoud we say it seems like it broke down. How ironic, you need a ride to trail days, they need a ride from trail days.
Hope you find a way there though.:)
