Unfortunately, I won't be at Trail Days again this year, but my colleagues Seth (aka Spoonful) and Ivan will be. Be sure to stop by our booth and say hello. Look for the tent that looks like the giant topo map.

We'll be offering some really cool membership premiums this year. If you purchase a $30 American Hiking Society (http://www.americanhiking.org) membership you'll get a free National Trails Day wicking tee. The wicking shirts will also be available for $10 each. It's a real steal, and they are sure to sell out, so get there early if you want one.

We'll also have a raffle for a pair of Leki poles, Thorlo socks, and an Adventure Medical Kit. No purchase necessary.

When you stop by the booth, be sure to ask Ivan about how you can get involved in National Trails Day (http://www.americanhiking.org/events/ntd/) (June 2), and ask Seth about his project to protect the 26 million acre National Landscape Conservation System (http://www.americanhiking.org/policy/westpublands/index.html) in the western US. Our friend Sly is probably hiking there right now.

Have fun! And travel safe! I'll be with you in spirit.

What an adventurer Sue is !

The flip-flop makes perfect sense, I’m sure the hot road walk would be quite intense, even for a seasoned, conditioned hiker.

Hats off to her…and to yourself, Jeff, for the spotlight on Sue!

So sorry you won’t make it to Trail Days, we’ll harass the rep at the American Hiking Society booth instead. (Especially if he runs out of those free t-shirts.)

Life is good.
