The leaves at high elevations (i.e, along the AT) in the western end of the park are showing the slightest (and I mean slightest) color change. There were a few trees getting that golden-yellow tinge to them, but most were still, well, green. Down low, color was usual summer stuff. If you are looking to go out and look at the pretty colors, I would try in two weeks for the higher elevations.
