FS 69 to Wayah Gap

Hey has anyone ever used this rd in NC? I want to get up to Wayah Gap to get some real good Sunrise pics but I don't want to to haul my good gear 4+ miles to get in. Any thoughts?

If you are talking about the dirt road that goes from Wayah Gap to Wayah Bald, it is in good shape. I was on it a couple of months ago.

Thanks that's the one YB I was wondering what truck I would have to drive up.

You don't need a truck, you can do it with any automobile. It is a regular tourist run. They even have 'his' & 'her' toilets between the parking lot and Wayah Tower.
