Since I can't carry fuel containers on a plane, what are the chances that I can find some PRIMUS Propane/Isobutane/Butane fuel in Millinocket? What about finding aquamira (since I can't find it around here) ?
Are these both easy to find in trail towns?

I remember finding plenty of supplies at the hardware store downtown, not that far from the AT Cafe in Millinocket. Nice grocery store there too.

I know nothing about supplies in Millinocket..but where are you flying into?

If it is Boston, you can ceartainly find supplies there. If flying into Bangor, a quick google search shows Epic Sports
http://epicsportsofmaine.com/

If you are going by bus from Boston to Bangor, you may have time to hit Epic Sports.

Also, in the US you can mail canisters legally if you can go through some minor hoops:

I suspect Canada may have similar regulations.

Mailing to the PO in Millinocket may work, too.

Finally, TJ is one of our Maine and BSP experts. He will know for sure if Millinocket has any outfiiters. I have not been there in almost 10 yrs! :O

Hope that helps.

Another Bangor place to try is Ski Rack (http://skiracksports.com/).

I will be flying into Bangor, I will have a few hours to kill there before I take the bus to Medway, and then I shuttle to Millinocket for a day or so.

Ah! So stopping by one of the stores Alligator and I mention may your best bet overall. One of the two stores should have the fuel you need. Bangor is a relatively large town (esp. by Maine standards).

Although easily accessible off the highway, Ski Rack is way far from the airport. (near the mall)
