I'm leaving this Sunday morning for my section hike. I'm in banana mode now....:banana I've had so much going on in my life that I am just now getting excited about it. Still have yet to pack, but I'm pretty sure all my gear is ready to go. I'll be starting up around the Bland area and will keep on going till I run out of time, which will be the middle of July sometime. I know I'll be behind most thru's, but that will be good for shelters, bad for privies...:eek: ... I'm hoping to get through the Shennies, but we'll see how it goes. I put the 'ow' in slow, if ya know what I mean.
Jaybird, I think I might catch up to you this year....:p

I do have a hiking partner this year that I met here on WB. Her name is Panama Snail, and claims to hike as slow as me. The only other person I've hiked with so far that was as slow as me was Bear Killer, and he had hip surgery, a knee replacement, and a few other things wrong with him. But, there is safety in numbers, so I hope she can keep down with me.
Time to make a list.
