Updated weekly , not many areas reporting in yet but the RED(severe) dots are in central and costal areas. The foothills and mountains of western Maine are sure to explode with the litlle black ba**ards:eek: as soon as the heat wave arrives later this week. Think DEET!;)

Blackflies are and have been out in force in K.I. and Jo-Mary now for a week. They're HEEEEERE!
Cool temps forecasted for part of this week may be a blessing for the beginning SOBOs because Black Flys are not too active in cool temps, say under 60 deg. F. 60 might be the high for today across much of the state. Have not seen one of the black buzzards yet today. Rejoice!
