Has anyone here every hiked the International A.T.? Pictures are beautiful, but it seems like it could be a cold, wet slog for days on end.

cold and wet? sounds like its right up my alley! from what i've heard the southern portion is a lot of roadwalking in florida and the northern portion is quite rugged and diffacult with some walking on logging roads in maine. I have no interest in the south, however ME and Canada sound awesome, and I have been meaning to check out the chic chocks for a couple years now. Gaspe looks amazing. Not a whole lot in the way of info though. I know Andrew Skurka hiked it, and every year a couple of hikers go the distance. Not very many though.

Been there, done that.

The Quebec section (Gaspe) is marvellous; you can go days without seeing another hiker.

Lots of info on the IAT website.

Cheers,
