Stayed here with Bean Counter/ Shelter condition was average in September -- still buggy since it's near a stream. No rats, but strange sounds from locusts or other critters kept Bean counter awake.

BTW, there's no meadow here!

Glad to see your post. I made it 500 miles in my SOBO section hike. Ran out of hikers in South VA. Decided it was too lonely on the trail and quit. I’ll be back in 2004.

26806On my section hike i stayed on 4/16/2014. Shelter was clean, Privy was full-FULL.

I stayed at Lambert's Meadow two nights ago. There is a small stream flowing in the stream bed -- more than a trickle, but not much more. You'll have to build a dam to make a deep enough puddle to suck water out of the stream and into your filter. Filling a water jug without silt is going to be problematic. But it's still better than the completely dry situation along most of The Trail in this section.
