Over at the Hammock Forums we are working on a near the end of the year get together at the Red River Gorge (Prolly in the northern part of the Cliffy Wilderness actually). We would love to have everyone from White Blaze who can come to join us. So far the sites are: atop the Indian Staircase or along the Gray's arch trail.
The Gray's arch trail is easier to get to, but I feel that the Indian Staircase site a better choice. AND, if held there we can call it the "No sniveler Hangout” :cool: Cause: the site has been rather trashed, with trash; so the plan is to have a clean up "party" with everyone bringing a heavyduty trash bag to clean up & haul out the leavings of those with no sense. And, the hike in can be a bit more "challenging", depending on which route you chose. Pluses: Fantastic Views, a HUGE rock house nearby, lots of sites for tenters & hangers. Water is a bit of a walk away (about 1 mile), but water for the Gray's arch site isnt all that close.
We are thinking the weekend before Thanksgiving, the 16th 17th & 18th of November. So you have about 5 months to plan :D
