Staying in shelters, because you won't carry a tent.

Sharing gorp barehanded.

Post up on that pack, once you dirty it up. I'd like a ruthless opinion.

It looks like to me that when the 2600 cubic inch pack body is stuffed full you'll lose the extra 1300 cubic inches on the back and sides. The mesh pockets don't look cut and sewn full enough to hold much after the body is crammed.

Don't make me go into photoshop with Leki poles and weenies on my mind.

Seriously, I'd like to hear what you think of the pack after a few hikes. Light isn't bad in and of itself - only when it is too light to get the job done.

Since lightening my load (including a ULA Circuit) I have found the poles almost unnecessary but I wouldn't give them up. I seem to hike more efficiently with them? Sort of hard to explain... Anyhow between the lighter load and the poles I haven't had any hiccups from the knees.

I tried the poles but found that they just got in the way, especially while hiking down ledges and very steep walls. I guess it takes an acquired skill.

Would it stay there securely??
