hitting the trail

well, in less than 24 hours my good friend, shoeless jon, and i will be hitting the road, making the long drive from north carolina to maine. on thursday, october 9, i will climb the big mountain, snap my picture at the summit, and begin the long walk south to georgia. i'm nervous, i'm excited, i'm ready to be out there. me, the woods, and the good Lord. what better way to spend my winter?

Wow best of luck to you both. I'm gonna be NOBO starting about 20th Feb 2004 with my Girlfriend.

Think I'd rather be SOBO but it doesn't fit my schedule (or wallet for that matter) as I should hopefully start police training after I finish next year.

Hope you have an enjoyable (albeit chilly) experience. Look forward to reading your Trail Journals.
