I' sorry to bother everyone! A few years ago I ran across a website created by a person who did not complete the thru-hike of the AT. I can't remember why he couldn't complete the hike, but he created a hiking stick (burned instructions on the stick) and left it on the trail for someone to pick up and take with tem on the trail. He wanted to have something complete the thru-hike.
I am tring to find the website or news atricle that featured the adventure of this hiking stick, but I can't find it anywhere. Has anyone seen this article or website? Can anyone please let me know if you have seen it or know how I can find it?
I have been told that items cannot get credit for completing a thru-hike. I was speaking about the article with a friend, and wanted to show the article.
