I just got my new backpack from campmor.com - a GoLite Quest (women's medium). This is also my first backpack ever (not counting my daypack
). :-) This may not seem like a big deal to you more experienced hikers, but this is a big thing for me, since it means that I can now take my first overnight/multiple day trips, instead of just dayhikes. Well, next I need to get my tent (I want a Kelty Crestone 1)... :p

On the 21st and 22nd of this month I'm planning on taking an overnighter in north GA somewhere - I haven't yet picked out the trail, but I have the book "The Hiking Trails of North Georgia" and it has lots to choose from. Plus I'm planning a hike on the Hemp Top Trail up to Big Frog Mountain in the Cohutta Wilderness/Big Frog Wilderness with my dad on Labor Day weekend in September. Looking forward to breaking my pack in! :)
