Anyone else hitting Springer this weekend? I plan on arriving at the approach trail mid morning Saturday and hiking to Neel's Gap arriving Wednesday morning. Am I going to have any company from here?

Mmmmm - probably not. But don't despair - one of the first thruhikers I ever met left Springer in October. He said a few of the advantages were that he didn't have to fight for space in the shelters, nobody objected to his cigar smoking and he could carry steak on the Trail. :)
Met him again 8 years later in Salida, CO when we were both doing the CDT. It's a small world out there.

My son and I will be there, but perhaps a little bit ahead of you. We're doing Amicalola to Woody Gap from Friday through Sunday.
