miles per day

I'm pretty sure I saw it somewhere where someone had posted about how many miles/day one might be able to do at certain places on the thru, but I can't seem to find it. I am working on my itinerary for an '08 hike. I know that I will probably not stick to it exactly, I would like it to be reasonable any. The longest I've gone is a month, so I know what I can do up to that point, but anything longer and in terrain I'm not 100% familiar with, I'm not sure. Any advice?
