I'm starting in (probably) late March 2008. I'd like a partner or two, at least to meet up with and start with. I think a hiking group of 3 would be great. Women roughly my age, like 40-60 (I'm 55, will be 56 for hiking.)

i am a little older than you are, but if you are interested in a30-35 day hike from springer to hampton, tn, i am starting on feb 24, 2008. i am looking for a single (1) partner to hike with. if you are interested let me know.

Im starting about that time. Im also a little older than you, but within the age group.
This will be my third thru hike. I hiked in 96 and 2000. What date are you starting. I was going to start around March 3rd, but it might be in the middle of March since the weather is a little nasty right now.
I don’t fall in the age range that you listed, but I’m looking for another female to spend a few days with towards the beginning of my hike. I’m looking to start sometime in April… maybe near Erwin or so. I’m still hashing things out. Feel free to contact me if you’d like to discuss things.

Yep, contact Smile. I'll be with her as well. I'm 52. Attempted a thru-hike last year but very painful and inflamed feet put a stop to it at Hiawasee. Just going out for 2 weeks this time around. Less pressure, more fun. I hope!
Older and wiser, and headin the other direction (SOBO in July) But hope to see you on the trail. I had thought about the henhike, but decided to be different. I march to the beat of a different drummer, lol....
