It just finished raining here in NC and I'm planning a trip to Shining Rock next week. I found an incredible shot from the FS webcam pointed at Cold Mountain this evening. It's a live shot, so it will update every few minutes. I really hope you get to see it! This is the kind of thing that gets me super fired up about getting back to the woods and away from the river!

What an amazing shot. I cant wait til next week. Been waterproofing my gear today. 6 days!!! Keep the pics coming.

Thanks! By the time I saw the live shot, it was back to summer haziness.
does anyone know exactly where the camera itself is located? is it near the blue ridge parkway? thanks
does anyone know exactly where the camera itself is located? is it near the blue ridge parkway? thanksI don't know for certain, but I think it's near the HWY 276 junction with the BRP. There is a pull off right there on the Parkway. Looks very similar.
