I am new to this forum, planning to thru-hike the trail starting on March 1st 2008!
Just wanted to say hello and hope to see you on the trail next year. If anyone is in the area and would like to hike local trails let me know.

Lots of good advice on prepping. Check out threads on how to save money for the trip as well. Welcome to the site!

Thanks everything! I have most of my gear, the mail drops are planned, the wait is almost over!!! A few more clothes to buy and then I'll be totally ready. Cant wait, been through so many books it is like I can see the whole trail and every stop along the way.
