I was thinking about hiking from Davenport Gap to Hot Springs, NC Saturday through Monday, 11 -13 August. Is it too hot ?????

Im starting this hike tommorow am. I hear the water situation is fair. It is going to be hot regardless. See ya out there.

Tank up and fill up at Ground Hog shelter. Water will be scarce or nonexistant until just before Max Patch or maybe even Roaring Fork.

I tried emailing Curtis at Standing Bear but havent heard anything. He may hear from hikers about the water. Can always call him at the hostel.
