Normally I don't bother looking at someone's gear list. I have what works for me, and I'm sure what they have will work for them.... something pulled me to take a peak, and I wasn't disappointed. Not THAT's a gear list!!!

:DAlso, I didn't see a stove in his list. I would reccomend the JetBoil system.:cool:

Except for the electric scooter & lawnmower, I think that was copied from my 97 gear list :rolleyes: At least the weights were similar.

I wish I had thought of the scooter, would have made carrying the wardrobe easier! :p

I was there. I, too, summited the 8th and was just coming up off the tablelands of Katahdin when Katterpillar, bumping across the rock fields, nearly ran me over with that darned rascal scooter of his in his haste to flee that awful class 2 1/2 weather. On another note, I do seem to recall that he did, however, trade in the Calvin and Hobbes box set for the latest Harry Potter book. He managed to finish the last chapter by headlamp at the Birches the night before... from the comfort of his king-size bed, conveniently pitched on the tent platform next to Lonah's Winnie-the-Pooh tent. Note the silnylon sheets in the picture. I need not mention the sherpa porters or, for that matter, the fact that most of us disregarded "Summit Naked Day" due to the weather... I was there alright.

it never ceases to amaze me the CRAP people will post for a chuckle!:D
