Anyone know what the overnight parking situation is at the Rt 9 Waypoint? I'll be approaching from Bennington and wanted to know what to look for.

Parking is on left hand side of the road about 5 miles outside of town. There's a ped crossing sign and a turn around on the right just as you pass the parking lot and before you head up the mountain.
There were notes about cars being vandalized there recently.

I've parked there hundreds of times, sometimes for more than a week. Never had a problem. It helps to drive a rat bag car.
Hi all, I'm bumping this up to the top. Any issues with parking at this location lately? I am thinking of doing a Greylock to Rt9 section soon and would park my car at the RT9 trail head for a few nights. Any advice on where to park for this section is greatly appreciated!

I would park my car at the Catamount Motel in Bennington.
There is a free bus that picks up at the AT/LT trailhead on Rt 9 at approx 8:30AM and 10:30AM and 3:30PM that takes you into downtown Bennington. Call the bus company for verification (802) 447-0477.

There is a free bus that picks up at the AT/LT trailhead on Rt 9 at approx 8:30AM and 10:30AM and 3:30PM that takes you into downtown Bennington. Call the bus company for verification (802) 447-0477.
Yes they are great at the catamount very hiker friendly.

Yes, great advice, did this a few summers ago.
