Anyone have any recent info? Are there any reliable sources. Will be hiking in about a week or so. Thanks.

I did this section in May so things may be different now but all the shelters had water. Muskrat Creek and Standing Indian are on streams so they are almost certainly still good. Water from springs at the various campsites and Bly gap may be more in question, but I would get more up to date info. A very pretty section and well maintained. Have fun:sun

Just did Dicks creek to the Smokies. Had no water problems but it was running slow in places.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Might be some rain in the forecast but it's good to have some ground truth.

GreenTick, when are u planning to walk that section? Two of us(girlfriend and I) are planning Dick's Creek to Franklin, NC. Tentatively 9/6-9/9, a slow walk.

In the night of the 28th out the 30th of August. I'll post a water update if needed.
