I saw many entries in the reigsters on my hike that made me laugh. I always enjoy a little humor, here is one of my favorites that I managed to take a picture of.

Maybe you guys would like to add some of your favorites as well. My favorite that I did not get a photo of was a parody of the Budweiser real men of genius song. It was for all Appalachian Trail Thru Hikers. That song was in the hurd brook lean to on Sept 6, 2006 written by Lancealot the brave. Maybe somebody else saw it?

The register entries that will always stick out for me were by NOBO 'Able Jill' last year.
It was the same theme in every shelter and usually went something like the one at a shelter north of White Cap Mountain in Maine
"I like my men like I like my trail. . . with a white cap to straddle." Sounds like a great girl with an excellent sense of humor.:)

On my 1990 hike there was a thru hiker that had his family send him EVERY issue of the local newspaper from back home. He would cut out all of the Farside cartoons and would paste one in the register every night. It was such a great pick me up to get into camp and have a new each day!
