Found what I think is a great trail food, fully cooked ground beef
in a foil pouch. It is made by Jack- Links and is sold at Wal-Mart
Super Centers in there canned meat aisle. It comes in three flavors,
Lightly Seasoned, Italian and Mexican.

For more info, go to:

http://www.jack-links.com

P.S. Wal-Mart also has Sweet Sue Brand Chicken Breast, Ham,
and Turkey in foil pouches

I've used sweet sue foil packed chicken before, but this beef looks great!

The sweet sue isn't quite the ideal chicken you'd want due to the addition of other junk in the packaging, but this Jack's Burger says it contains only the beef (which is drained 90% burger), and whatever seasoning you choose. The closest Super Walmart to me is about an hour away, but the next time I'm near one I'll pick a pack of each flavor up to try.

One of the foods I crave on trail is soft tacos. Oh boy I can already see the possibilities...

Chop Suey
Sloppy Joes
Soft Tacos
Hamburger Helper!
Burger n' Gravy over Spuds

Great Find!!!

I tried the Mexican (a free-bee in the store) and it was GREAT. Don't know the cost or how it compares to making your own. Anyone made a comparison?
