On the Go-Lite Jam 2 I just got in, the pack has ice axe loops at the bottom. They don't do me any good. So I figured that if I add a little extra strap length and a buckle, I could use to hold my food bag or tent (Contrail 1lb 8 oz)on the out side.
Talking to Go-Lite, they said it would be okay.
Ups/downs?

I have thought about doing the same on my Golite Gust. I'm interested in others' thoughts.
Would it be secure or bounce around on your rear end?

Thought about that for a while, I think it would be secure but if not, we could put small clips that would hold the straps to the pack. Not sure how to describe it. I might go ahead and try this Friday Afternoon.
If I get the time to try this after work, I will put up photos.
